Over two decades of extensive business experience has provided the fundamental basis for Kevin’s understanding of the operations of a successful business. Kevin draws on this knowledge whenever working with his clients and customers to ensure a positive outcome. He is passionate about people and business and their dreams to fulfil their goals.
“I started in business at age 23 with no management experience, no training and no qualifications. The opportunities for assistance weren’t available back then that are around today and everything I did was by trial and error, and I had my share of errors.”
The business grew fast and Kevin and his wife Adele worked very hard and long, long hours. The lessons learnt during this period of self taught business leadership and management were to prove invaluable for future reference.
“It was 1997 when real estate found me. I had been watching someone build his profile like no other agent had done previously. I just wanted to meet him and see what made him so successful, so I decided to fake an appraisal and soon after
my real estate career began. The team very quickly became the largest agency on Brisbane’s northside, dominating the market like no other with over 50% market share in some local suburbs.”
Selling real estate in the 1990’s was a tough gig in comparison to the boom of the following decade. It required genuine sales skills, understanding of your client plus lots of communication to ensure a sale.
The new millennium saw Kevin launch his own agency which operated successfully and profitably for 5 ½ years until it was sold in mid 2005. His next role was as a Director and Board Member of a small but fast growing franchise group where he was able to draw upon all his experience to provide coaching and training to the new franchisees within the network.
“Clients have found my understanding of changing markets and success throughout all economic conditions as invaluable to them. My thorough knowledge of the real estate industry provides support not always available and the enormous contacts and information resources have provided genuine value to my clients businesses.”
Kevin has intricate knowledge of the demands, requirements and legislative needs to operate and sell a real estate agency and rent roll. His experience gained through franchising, coaching and training Principals, Salespeople and Property Managers led him to write a series of operations manuals, recruitment manuals plus sales and property management training manuals.
